| Comments: | Debbie we are coming back again this summer (aug. 2010) and can not wait to ride with you and your horse!. We come back to Amelia every 2 to 3 years for 2 weeks or more and this is always something we do while we are there at least once and often twice during our vacations. Debbie and her horses are awesome we have ridden Honey, Taco, and a few others-but no matter what horse you get you will have a great time. This is the next best thing to bringing your own horses and so few places will even allow you to canter let alone ride on the beach, and not be tail to nose with the other horses in your group. | Comments: | Our family has vacationed at Amelia Island for the past 3 years now. In 2008, I arranged for my teenage grand daughters to go horseback riding with another outfit that is popular on the Island. However, it was not all that exciting to them. This year, my new daughter-in-law, who has horseback riding experience, wanted to ride on the beaches but to be able to gallop. I found this horseback riding outfit on the internet and we were not disappointed. Debbie and her capable staff take out only a few riders at a time and so it makes for a more enjoyable ride. They cater to all levels of experience and they allowed my daughter-in-law to experience the thrill again of galloping on the sand with her horse. They give you a whole hour to enjoy your ride and the horses are very friendly and accommodating. They will even take pictures with your camera for you. The girls loved the ride! | Comments: | My daughter, Danielle Herb and myself were visiting Amelia Island to teach a clinic we organized on the beach for children, parents and children diagnosed with ADHD. We phone Debbie to inquire about boarding our horses at her ranch and she was so accomodating . She informed us of her brand new barn and when we arrived we we greeted with such warm like we were close friends already. She called us on the day we were to arrive and gave us directions as well as making sure she had everything we needed. The entire weekend stay was one of the most memorable weekend for my daughter and myself. She organized a clinic for us with some of her students and we know we have created a life long friend. www.dropyourreins.com is a program my daughter and I give around the country and we hope that all are stays are as wonderful as Debbie and Cheers Ranch. | Comments: | I was planning on taking my family somewhere special for Spring Break, and like a blessing I found the most incredible people tucked away on the last beach you can go horseback riding on in Florida. Debbie and Nicky are two AMAZING individuals, loving and caring horse people that we could trust our animals with time and time again. My parents trailered the horses up from Miami, picked me up in Gainesville, and the rest of the family drove in from Orlando and Jacksonville. We stayed in a duplex on the beach (the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets I had seen in a long time), while our four darlings stayed in Debbie’s beautiful brand new barn. We were spoiled with a week full of sunshine as we rode out on the beach, eating fresh seafood, and just unwinding, while Debbie and Nicky spoiled our horses even more so than we do at home. | Comments: | My mom and I have wanted to ride horses on the beach for as long as I can remember, and we FINALLY had the opportunity to do just that on our visit to Amelia Island. Debbie is an amazing person, and Honey and Classy were the two best horses we could have asked for! The first horse ranch we went to was closed for the month, for some reason, and they were not at all helpful in our search to find another way to ride on the beach. This was such a special trip for my mom and I, after her recent quadruple bypass, it meant so much more than just a simple horseback ride on the beach...sort of gives the "bucket list" a deeper meaning! So, the fact that they didn't try to help us find another place seemed very rude and selfish to me. In fact, they told us they were the ONLY place available. Well, I think the ONLY place to go is with Debbie! Thanks again, for a wonderful experience which will always hold a special place in my memory and heart! You're the best!!! |
